Baltimore Club Music
Baltimore Club Music (BKA Baltimore Club/"Bmore Club") is a genre of house and dance music created in Baltimore, Maryland in the early 1990's. These remixes heard in Baltimore's clubs and on its urban radio stations often sample original songs from Motown classics, theme songs of famous TV shows, or combine repetitive, looped vocal snippets/ simple repeated calls and chants. Baltimore Club Music is usually based on an 8/4 beat structure, and includes tempos around 130 beats per minute. The repetitive beat pattern allows for multiple dance forms, with the most popular dances being the Wu-Tang,Spongebob (aka Crazy-Legs) or the D-Mac . Baltimore Club Music sounds as if the music was intentionally hurried, as each song is made with a limited range of sounds and is based on similar structure. Read more on Last.fm.
